the kindness of strangers

At some point during last night's photo assignment I realized that I couldn't bear to shoot Dave again. He's photogenic, but having taken his picture to demonstrate various lighting conditions and the potential benefits of bracketing, I'd had enough. (His posing is really out of hand, too.)

So, when Anthony, a Whole Foods employee, walked by on his way to a pedicure, I asked if I could shoot him instead.

He kind of reminds me of a cool statue.

Even statues need pedicures sometimes.

12 years ago my grandma offered to buy miss piggy's (halloween) hairdo for me, because she felt it would look better on me than the real deal.

three days ago the entire class agreed that my hair looks better in photo than in reality.

after 12 years and three days of contemplation I have come to the conclusion that my hair needs a change. thus, I shall dedicate the weekend to the manufacturing of a wig, made from (my own) real hair printouts.

maybe you can provide me with the RAW file as a starter, the copyright on my new hair will remain yours.
