This weekend I was invited to read some of my work at a café in Wicker Park. I don't love microphones, but the reading was fun and the audience was really kind. I won't post the piece here, but if you ask, I can send it to you.Other weekend highlights: live jazz at Philanders in celebration of a friend's birthday, crashing a huge Indian wedding reception, salsa dancing at the University of Chicago, breakfast on the patio at The Golden Apple (you can experience The Golden Apple here), a long walk.
The weather's been so beautiful.

The Golden Apple! Requisite time: 5 am. Requisite activity: moving to the hood with roommate. I'm sure that wasn't your experience, but oh well.
