not so good

I've been sick the past few days and have, with the exception of an excursion to a friend's birthday party (because when I said I couldn't make it he alluded to his strong ties to the Russian mafia), been living in quarantine. But at least I've still got skin on, which is more than we can say for Visalius's friend here.

While sick, I spent one day watching Critically Lauded Movies That Are Too Sad To Watch On Healthier Occasions.

It was a long day of genocide, racism, Bad America, human trafficking, drug abuse, and other heartaches.

Over the phone a friend pointed out that these movies might exacerbate things, but I was looking for some cinematic company and couldn't leave the house to pick anything new up and, well, since most occasions had been healthier ones, was left with these acclaimed dregs of our collection.
